Any member with a Normal or Giver status can give recognition in Slack.
What to expect
Only members with an allowance can give points with their recognition
Recognition can be given privately, but this feature must be enabled by your Assembly’s admin
Only companies on a paid plan (not a free plan) can configure and add core values to recognition
How to give recognition
You can give recognition quickly in slack in one of three ways. From any channel or DM within slack:
Use the /give-recognition shortcut (as seen above) • Type /give-recognition and hit enter • Type/give-recognition, type a @member, and hit enter • Type/give-recognition, type a @member, add a message, and hit enter
Use your Assembly’s reward currency emoji, send a single emoji (i.e., 🏆)
Click the more icon (see below) icon at the top right corner of any post in Slack, select give recognition.
NOTE: The very first time you give recognition in Slack you will be asked to allow Assembly to post on your behalf. This is Slack’s requirement of Assembly for our integration. You will only be asked this once. If the permissions are acceptable, click Allow Assembly to Post as Me.
Once you have activated the give recognition bot, follow these steps to complete your celebration!
Choose a team member or members you would like to celebrate. You can select one or multiple people.
If you have an allowance, add trophies to reward your teammate(s) on top of celebrating their amazing work.
If your company is on a paid plan and has core values set up, select a core value that best matches up with your teammate(s) accomplishment(s).
Write a message explaining the awesome, amazing thing(s) your teammate(s) did. You can also add a GIF to make it more fun!
Click Give recognition. This will post your recognition to the Main Feed and to the designated Slack channel.
