Whether you’re using your daily planner for your personal or professional goals, here are four ways to effectively use it.
We do so much of our work (and play) online, it only makes sense to use a daily planner online as well. Having a digital daily planner allows you to stay organized in the same place you do your work and use technology to keep track of your tasks, goals and everything in between. Having a daily planner also increases your productivity because writing things down increases the likelihood of remembering your to-dos and also accomplishing them.
Whether you’re using your daily planner for your personal and/or professional goals, here are four ways to effectively use a digital daily planner.
There are a lot of ways to use a daily planner: remember important dates, cross off to-do lists, keep track of goals, and plan out your day, week, month, or year. To get the most out of a daily planner, you should use a tool that allows you to do all of that in one place. Having multiple tools and platforms to organize and plan can be unnecessarily complicated.
Use a tool like Assembly’s Daily/Weekly Work Agenda. This tool has customizable templates that allows you structure your planner in the most efficient and intuitive way possible for you to get your work done. It has everything you need, in an easy-to-use interface, to be the all-in-daily planner like keeping track of goals and making a list of tasks.
An effective daily planner is one that is used daily. Making your daily planner a part of your routine will turn it into one of your most productive habits. A really effective way to use your daily agenda is to make it a part of your morning routine. That way, you can be ready and organized as you start your day. For tips on how to make your morning routine more effective, check out this blog post.
If you need help getting into the flow of using a daily agenda, turn on notifications and reminders on your digital daily planner. Or make a note in your alarm. These reminders are one of the reasons why using a digital daily planner might be more productive than using a paper one. To learn about Assembly’s day planner, check out this video.
Is your planner looking a little cluttered with all the things you have to do and the goals you want to accomplish? You’re not alone. These days, there are so many things demanding our attention and too many things that need to be done. That’s why it is crucial to prioritize your tasks. What is the most important? What needs to be done today, and what can be done tomorrow? These are questions you can ask to help prioritize all the things you need to do.
Segmenting, or grouping, your tasks can also be a productivity hack. Segmenting your tasks makes it easier for your brain to keep things organized. What is part of your personal tasks and what needs to be done for work? Perhaps you need to make a group of tasks for self-care or health. Think about what is important to you and group your tasks. Use a digital daily planner tool, like the Daily/Weekly Planner from Assembly, to prioritize and segment your tasks for a more organized day.
Listen, you’re doing a great job. Isn’t that great to hear? It’s just as affirming to see that you’re doing a great job, and one way to do that is to track your progress. Sometimes we get so caught up in the moment and all the things we have to do, we need a reminder to take a step back and see how far we’ve come. Take a look at all the tasks you accomplished and the goals you reached.
If your daily planner isn’t tracking your progress, you might want to consider another tool. A daily planner tool like Assembly’s daily/weekly planner will track your progress and also allow you reflect and make a note of what worked and didn’t to make improvements. Keep an eye on your progress and celebrate when you hit milestones!
It can be challenging to find a daily agenda that meets all your needs and helps you achieve goals easily. Luckily, there is Assembly’s daily agenda tool that is fully customizable and can bring much-needed simplicity into our daily planning. Try the Daily/Weekly Agenda Flow to keep track of everything you need to do and stay organized while doing it.
